Jessica Trybus
Founder and CEO

Jessica Trybus is CEO and founder of Etcetera Edutainment. Jessica is also Director of Edutainment for Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center and has contributed to CMU's recognition as an international leader in marrying engaging interface with education and training goals. Jessica also currently serves on the board of the Andy Warhol Museum.

Prior to working with interactive entertainment technologies, Jessica spent several years in marketing, business development, and project management with Viacom and AltaVista. She also worked as an assistant within Flower Films, Drew Barrymore's production company. Jessica received her B.A. from Cornell University and her Masters Degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon.




Don Marinelli
Founder and CCO

Don Marinelli, Ph.D, is Chief Creative Officer of Etcetera Edutainment. Dr. Marinelli is also Executive Producer and co-founder of Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, a global master's program for entertainment technology research and development. He is a Professor of Drama and Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon and served as the Assistant Head of the Drama Dept. (1980-86) and later the Associate Dept. Head (1986-95). During that time, he helped to establish the joint-degree Master of Fine Arts in Acting Program between Carnegie Mellon and the world renowned Moscow Art Theatre School of Russia. In an age of interactive media, Professor Marinelli has received international recognition for transforming the perception of how students are educated, employing an interdisciplinary curricula and hands-on, real-world relevancy.




Jeff Schuldt
Senior Vice President
Sales & Marketing

Jeffrey Schuldt is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and leads Etcetera’s efforts to build the overall commercial business and pursue the larger vision of being the leader in interactive education and training for a new generation.

Prior to joining Etcetera Jeff spent more than 20 years in the package goods and consumer healthcare industry. He most recently served as Director of Alliances for Behavioral Science at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare. He joined the company in 1985 when it was then Beecham Products, and advanced rapidly with success in positions in sales management, marketing, and business development. Throughout his tenure he managed multi-million dollar customer relationships, built and led numerous cross-functional teams, developed and launched strategic initiatives in talent and business development, established new organizational designs for sales, customer development and marketing, and identified and leveraged under-utilized company assets to increase revenue and profit.

Jeff is an alumnus of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Business Administration-Marketing.




Eben Myers
Vice President, Production

Eben Myers, Vice President in charge of Production, has done both theoretical research and hands-on design and production of games, simulations, and related systems for many companies and organizations, including Kodak, Electronic Arts, and NASA. He has published and presented work on videogames, artificial intelligence, educational interfaces, robotic exploration, and augmented reality. Eben holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a Masters Degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. He has also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland.

Eben serves on the Advisory Committees of the Sprout Fund's Spark Initiative and the Pittsburgh Technology Council's Art + Technology Initiative.




Deborah Shearman
Vice President, Product Management and Marketing

Deborah is VP of Product Marketing for Etcetera Edutainment. Deborah brings more than 20 years of marketing, product management and consulting leadership to her responsibilities in product marketing and product management.

Prior to joining Etcetera, Deborah held positions in executive management in the Enterprise Software, Managed Services and Consulting industries. In addition to serving as VP of Product Management for several Pittsburgh-based start-ups, she has also held leadership roles in start-up product groups within several Fortune 100 companies including AT&T Wireless, IBM and Hewlett-Packard Corporation. She has a B.A. in Music and Master Degrees in Education and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Bill Newlin
Director and Chief Strategic Advisor

Bill Newlin is Chairman of Newlin Investment Company LLC, whose primary focus is investing in technology and industrial companies.

From 2003 to 2007, Bill was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Before joining Dick's, Bill was Chairman and CEO of the law firm Buchanan Ingersoll (now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney), leading its growth to one of the 100 largest firms in the country. Bill also has twice been recognized by the National Law Journal as one of "The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America."

With a rich background in corporate strategic planning, corporate governance, law and human resources/compensation, Bill has served, and continues to serve on many corporate Boards of Directors. He is a director of Kennametal Inc., serving as Chairman from 1996 to 2002, lead director from 2002 to 2006,.. He also serves as presiding director of ArvinMeritor, Inc., and serves on the boards of Calgon Carbon Corporation, Plextronics and Plano Inc. In addition, Bill was co-founder and general partner of CEO Ventures Funds, focusing on mid-Atlantic technology companies. As part of that experience, he served on the Boards of over fifteen technology companies. He is also a founder and Director Emeritus of the Pittsburgh Technology Council.

Bill graduated from Princeton University and the University of Pittsburgh Law School, where he received the Law School's distinguished alumni award. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of business administration from Robert Morris College.



Andy Hannah
Director

Andy Hannah is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Co-Founder of Plextronics, Inc., an international printed electronics company, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, focused on the manufacture of solar cells, and high-efficiency lighting and circuitry, from ink-based technology.

Active in the printed electronics industry and other entrepreneurial organizations, Andy is the Vice Chairman of the Organic Electronics Association (a global organization focused on the commercialization of printed electronics) and a Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University (on leave of absence beginning in 2009). He also serves on the board of the Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center, and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance Advisory Board. He is a charter member of TiE (Pittsburgh Chapter), and a member of the National Renewable Energy Lab Solar Technology Review Panel.

Until January 2002, Andy served as a Senior Managing Director/CFO for Pittsburgh-based Internet Venture Works, Inc. (IVW). In addition to IVW, Andy held the position of CFO in several emerging market companies including STORM, LLC, a Pittsburgh-based technology company, and Boston-based ISI Emerging Markets . Early in his career, Andy spent seven years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he worked with technology and middle-market manufacturing organizations.

While at Deloitte & Touche, he co-founded and led the creation of Leadership Development Initiative (LDI), and has served as a board member of Leadership Pittsburgh (LDI representative) and the Katz Alumni Board as well as volunteering with Junior Achievement, the Roberto Clemente Foundation and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Andy earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz School of Business with an emphasis in marketing and finance, and received his BS in Accounting from Penn State in 1987.
