- How do I learn to drive in the game?
Once you have completed Lesson 2 (Forklift Inspection), the Controls Tutorial will become available. Select “Controls Tutorial” from the menu and then click “Play.” The simulation will walk you through the various buttons or keys to control the forklift in the virtual environment. If you have a Logitech wheel plugged in, Forklift Safety Sim will automatically recognize it and you can practice with the wheel controls. If you wish to use the keyboard, make sure you do not have a wheel plugged in and the game will update automatically.
- Are there other ways besides a keyboard and mouse to control the simulation?
The Logitech MOMO® Racing Force Feedback Wheel, the Logitech Driving Force GT and the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel provide optimal forklift driving experiences. Many trainees who may be unfamiliar with videogames or computers find a wheel to be an easy-to-use interface for the game. You can learn more about the Logitech Racing Wheels at
www.logitech.com.
Please note that the MOMO Force Feedback wheel has been discontinued by Logitech. It is currently only available through third-party vendors.
- Where do I find diagrams of the controls?
The diagrams for the controls can be found using the links below. You can also reference a controls diagram while driving in the simulation by pressing the Escape button (Esc) on your keyboard. This will pause the lesson or exam and show a diagram of the controls.
You can view and print diagrams of supported wheels here.
