  6. Can I modify lesson content to include content that is specific to my company?

Forklift Safety Sim is based on the most current OSHA standards. We understand that every company has specific training needs, but elected not to enable content modification so standard OSHA regulations would not be compromised. Be sure you know your company's specific policy.

Troubleshooting

  1. I am having trouble installing the software.

You will also need administrator rights on the PC on which you wish to install the application. If you fo not have these rights, please contact your system administrator. Also, some computers encounter problems if multiple users are logged on simultaneously, so make sure you are the only user logged on to your computer.

On Windows Vista: if you see an error regarding “Write Permissions” during installation, try turning off User Account Control (UAC) in the User Accounts Control Panel. You’ll need to reboot before attempting the installation again. After installing the game, you can turn UAC back on.

  2. I’m using the keyboard, but the controls diagram in the program seems to be for the wheel.

If the wheel is plugged in, the controls diagrams will default to show the wheel controls. If you have been using the wheel and then switch to the keyboard, be sure to unplug the wheel from your PC.

  3. I noticed some sluggishness during the driving portions of the application (Lessons 3, 4, and 5, along with portions of the final exam).

First, check to ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements.
Second, use the application’s main menu to navigate to “Options”, and try selecting the “Low” option for Graphics Detail.
Third, ensure that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date by checking on the manufacturer’s website.
